Our B&B is located just two minutes from Appenzell train station, right at the foot of the Alpstein – the ideal starting point for your explorations in the region.
And the best part? With us, your holidays start the moment you set off: take advantage of the free train journey from any station in Switzerland directly to our door. It couldn’t be more convenient.
Your stay with us
When the day breaks, you will not only find fresh mountain air and a relaxed holiday atmosphere but also our abundant breakfast buffet, from 7.30 a.m. – for the perfect start to the day. And if you prefer to sleep longer or are not the breakfast type: just order our packed lunch and get something nice for the road.
Rooms for monthly rent
Are you traveling for work and looking for a room at short notice?
With us you get everything you need.
In the guest room you can heat up your own meals in the evening (microwave) and eat. Plates and cutlery are provided for your use. Cooling facilities for your food are available.
You are also welcome to set up a workspace in the lounge.
In the basement there is a washing machine and a tumble dryer that you can use at any time.
Double room standard: 28 days, CHF 700.00 without breakfast.

Self check-in with “Ariane”
Your holiday rhythm sets the pace. With “Ariane”, our self-check-in tool, you can check in with us at any time – 24 hours a day. Also perfect for those who like to arrive spontaneously, last-minute, and without a reservation. Our rooms are ready for you from 3 p.m.
Our B&B – your second home
After an eventful day, you can make yourself at home with us: treat yourself to a refreshing beer in the lounge, play a game of Uno while enjoying a coffee and homemade cake, or have a glass of wine by the fireplace and browse the library. In our lounge, you can also meet other guests, chat, or plan your next holiday
Early check-in for your luggage
Would you like to arrive early and make the most of the first day of your holiday? No problem. You can check in yourself with “Ariane” from 8 a.m. and leave your luggage in the lounge (not locked) without any fuss. Your room will then be available to you from 3 p.m.
Late check-out for your luggage
We kindly ask you to vacate your room by 10.30 a.m.
To enjoy the last day of your holiday without any worries, you can simply leave your luggage in the lounge (not locked). Your room card will work at the main entrance door until 6 p.m.
Washing machine and dryer
In the basement, there is a washing machine and a tumble dryer – ideal for guests who want to stay longer or who have already been on the road for a while when they visit us.
Bike room
Bike room: your bike will also be in good hands at our establishment. On the right, behind the house, you will find a lockable room with a charging station for e-bikes. You can access it very conveniently via your room card.
Week-long trips or long stays
Why not just stay longer? We will be happy to offer you a special price for stays of a week or more.
Or are you here for work and don’t need breakfast? No problem. We also find suitable solutions for craftsmen, construction workers, and seasonal workers – so that everyone feels at home at our establishment.
